Jefferson is a gorgeous shep/husky mix who followed a volunteer's son home one night when he was walking his dog. There was evidence that Jefferson had been chained (he probably broke free). So Jefferson's "emancipation" began that night, but was by no means a sure thing.

The next morning Jefferson was taken to the shelter as a stray. Certainly someone was looking for this sweet dog who only wanted belly rubs! After about a week, no one claimed him. We felt fate brought Jefferson to us, so we said he would be ours.

Jefferson is a wonderful, very social dog. Those eyes are unforgettable. Jefferson, let's hope your new family finds you soon, so you can start living the life you deserve!
