He's on a successful tour with his country-influenced rock band, Modern West. He's been part of the 20th anniversary celebrations for Bull Durham, the 1988 baseball classic in which he starred with Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins. And he's been out promoting his new movie Swing Vote, which opens Friday.
In this real-life U. S. election year, Swing Vote is about the entire presidential race coming down to one man's vote. Distinguished by a clever script and a cast that includes such laffmeisters as Nathan Lane, Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer, Swing Vote is a sophisticated comedy about one unsophisticated man.
