Jose Reyes hit a go-ahead three-run homer as the Mets topped the Phillies on Wednesday night.
Reyes won the game for the Mets on the same day he was publicly called out by Jimmy Rollins for costing New York the first game of the series. NEW YORK (AP) - Jose Reyes' three-run homer snapped a sixth-inning tie and the New York Mets, with closer Billy Wagner back, rebounded from a demoralizing defeat by beating the Philadelphia Phillies 6-3 on Wednesday night.
John Maine pitched seven effective innings and New York took advantage of a wild Brett Myers in his return from the minors to again tie the Phillies for first place in the NL East.
