The principal at a private Christian school in Arlington was ordered jailed on $100,000 bail today after being charged with third-degree child rape.
Mark Evan Brown, 37, has been engaging in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl who attends Brown's school, Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Mark Roe said in Snohomish County Superior Court papers.

ARLINGTON, Wash. - A 37-year-old Arlington man has been charged with third-degree rape of a child following an investigation by the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office that the man, a principal at a private school, had sex with a 14-year-old female student.
Sheriffs detectives said they began investigating the matter in June when the girls parents, who live in unincorporated Arlington, reported her as a runaway.
County Jail on $100,000 bail.
