MIAMI, July 23 (UPI) - Tim Hudson threw six shutout innings before leaving the game with elbow soreness Wednesday, helping Atlanta defeat Florida 9-4.
The Braves also saw third baseman Chipper Jones suffer an apparent hamstring injury in the fourth inning. He grabbed his leg and grimaced in pain as he ran to first base.

Things weren't all rosy for the Braves, however. Hudson (11-7) was forced to exit the game after six innings with tightness in his left elbow and third baseman Chipper Jones, who leads the major leagues with a .369 batting average, left the contest in the fourth with an apparent left hamstring injury. The All-Star grounded to third base and grabbed the hamstring while grimacing in pain as he passed the bag at first.

Escobar doubled in a run in both the third and fourth innings and Blanco finished with his second career four-hit game while scoring three runs for the Braves, who took two out of three in the series.
