The three acquitted officers Gescard Isnora, Michael Oliver and Marc Cooper were already facing departmental charges that mirrored the criminal charges brought by the Queens District Attorney. They now face additional internal charges of discharging their weapons outside NYPD guidelines.
Isnora also faces an added departmental charge of taking inappropriate action while undercover, even though other officers were on the scene.

NEW YORK (AP) - Seven police officers were hit with disciplinary charges Tuesday in the 50-shot slaying of an unarmed groom-to-be on his wedding day — a case that has sparked protests and raised questions about police firepower.
If found guilty at an internal trial, the officers — including three shooters acquitted last month at a criminal trial and their supervisor — could be fired. A union official said Tuesday that they would fight the allegations.

MYFOXNY.COM - The New York Police Department has slapped seven police officers involved with the Sean Bell shooting with internal disciplinary charges, the New York Post reported. Last month, a Queens judge acquitted three detectives of criminal charges in the deadly November 2006 shooting that killed Bell on his wedding day and wounded two friends.
The department has cited those three officers -- Detectives Michael Oliver, Gescard Isnora and Marc Cooper. Also charged is Lt. Gary Napoli for failure of supervision for his oversight of the prostitution sting at Club Kalua, the Post reported.

All seven men are due to face hearings, New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne said.
