SRINAGAR, India, July 20 (Reuters) - Two Indian soldiers, including an officer, and four suspected Muslim militants were killed in separate gun battles in Kashmir, while two others died in a grenade attack, the army said on Sunday.
The violence flared up across the Himalayan region ahead of a new round of India-Pakistan peace talks on Monday that are opposed by Kashmiri separatist militants.

SRINAGAR, India, July 19 (UPI) - An Indian army convoy hit a roadside bomb Saturday in Kashmir and the blast killed 9 soldiers and injured dozens more.
The attack was the second in two days in the area, The Times of India reported. On Friday, 32 people, including three soldiers, were hurt.
